The Hall of Fame Hydro Plants represent plants that have been in continuous operation for 100 years or more. Prior to 1900 70% of the world’s power was generated by hydro with 100% operating on Lignum Vitae main guide bearings. Thomas Edison searched the globe and found that Lignum Vitae bearings were the best solution to help grow the budding need for electricity.

With over 132 years of continuous service as the leading water lubricated bearing in hydro, Lignum Vitae North America, LLC salutes all Hall of Fame recipients for their legacy of service.
