Lignum Vitae North America was awarded a contract to supply a Water Lubricated Main Guide Bearing for the Conowingo Dam. Lignum Vitae North America is pleased to service Conowingo Dam by providing maximum uptime and lower maintenance cost.

The dam, one of the largest non-federal hydroelectric dams in the US, is classified as a medium height, masonry gravity type dam. This plant has been in operation since 1928. This is an excellent example of environmentally responsible efficient hydro power plant. The Kaplan turbines generate 1,800,000 Megawatts annually.
